Priding them on promoting scientific and social interchange, the ISAPS values the differing insights that each various culture brings to the field of aesthetic plastic surgery. The application process is similar to many others in that surgeons must adhere to a strict code of ethics, engage in continuing medical education, and have so many years of real experience. However, the one thing that sets this organization apart from the rest is that it holds a scientific congress every two years which is a major international event! Surgeons from all over the world attend this conference. It is a time for learning and sharing new, groundbreaking advancements in aesthetic plastic surgery.
